After studying at Camberwell College of Arts, Yamamoto honed his shoemaking skills at The Old Curiosity Shop.
Upon returning to Japan in 2000, he trained with a shoe manufacturer in Asakusa, Tokyo, and launched his own brand, KIDS LOVE GAITE, in 2008.
Blending a rebellious spirit rooted in 1990s London street culture with an artistic sensibility, KIDS LOVE GAITE brings these unique designs to life through refined craftsmanship developed in Asakusa, a town known for its artisans.
The result is a truly one-of-a-kind product—shoes that embody Yamamoto’s signature blend of precise madness and meticulous construction.
